About This Program

Want to learn more about how accessibility benefits people with disabilities, their families, and the greater community? Looking for an opportunity to teach your child about the value of diversity and inclusion? Join the Accessibility Advisory Committee of Grande Prairie for story time during AccessAbility week. Committee member, founder of Mothers’ Inclusive, and Miss Queen Central Alberta, Kiaira, will read a selection of stories that highlight accessibility tools and strategies that enable people with disabilities to be meaningfully included in the community.

Everyone is welcome to come. Learn about accessibility, ask questions, and see what is available in the children’s section at the Grande Prairie Public Library.

This is a free, drop-in, patron-led program. Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend. AccessAbility week is May 25-June 1. This story reading event takes place at 11AM on May 26th.
