Cosplay 101

Cosplay is a connection between costuming and play. People of all ages and skill levels choose

characters from various different media (Anime, cartoons, video games, comics, movies, etc), or

create original characters to emulate. Some people meticulously recreate every detail of a

character’s design, while others enjoy the style of “closet cosplay” where they boil down a

character's outfit to a casual version, and everywhere in between.

Cosplay 101 is a session with the goal of preparing new and potential cosplayers with a direction, informational tools, and resources to be able to begin their journey into the art. 

This is a free drop-in program for ages 16+.
