About This Program

In recognition of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, GPPL will be offering anyone who visits the Library on September 30th the opportunity to visit our Room of Reflection. The Room of Reflection is a safe space designed to allow for deep reflection about the tragic history and ongoing legacy of residential schools and other injustices done to the Indigenous peoples of Canada.

Writing prompts will be in place to help stimulate inner conversation, and resources related to Indigenous life, culture, and history will also be available.

The Room of Reflection will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
