About This Program
Osteoporosis, known as the “silent thief,” can cause bones to deteriorate over a number of years without any signs or symptoms, until a bone breaks. Unfortunately, by the time this happens, the disease is already fairly advanced. Join us to learn the importance of bone health and your risk for osteoporosis.
This presentation will cover:
- What osteoporosis is
- Risk factors and diagnosis
- How to maintain healthy bones
- Treatment options
- Fall prevention
This presentation is for the general public, older adults, seniors, caregivers interested in learning more about bone health. Presented by Osteoporosis Canada's trained Fracture Prevention Volunteers. This program takes place on Zoom. When you register you will receive a link to join the session.
