About This Program

Designed for people who want to learn computer basics. Each class is designed to build off the one before it, so registration will be for all 4 classes.

Intro to Computers [Class 1]

  • How to turn a computer on
  • How to use a mouse
  • Overview of what you can do on a computer
  • Computer programs and what they are

Intro to Typing/Word [Class 2]

  • Keyboarding practice
  • What is Microsoft Word and what it’s used for
  • Identifying other places you’ll need typing

Intro to the Internet [Class 3]

  • How to get online
  • Browsers and how to use them
  • How to look up information

Intro to Email [Class 4]

  • Signing up for an email account
  • How to send and receive emails
  • Basic email safety
