About This Program

Discover the foundations of mindfulness and how it can reduce stress and enhance well-being. This introductory session explores breathing techniques, loving-kindness (Metta) meditation, and practical tools for mindful living—rooted in the original teachings of the Buddha.

Led by Bhante Suseela, a Sri Lankan monk in the Theravada tradition and Spiritual Director of the Alberta Insight Meditation Centre. With over 30 years of experience, Bhante has guided countless Albertans in meditation through retreats, community programs, and interfaith outreach. All are welcome—no prior experience necessary.
