May's presentation is understanding family violence
"This FREE one (1) hour presentation takes a deeper look at the realities of family and intimate partner violence in our communities. Participants will gain insight into the root causes, risk factors, and warning signs of abuse; including intimate partner, child, and elder abuse. The session also explores how substance use and power dynamics contribute to cycles of violence and provides guidance on how to safely support someone experiencing abuse. Through open discussion and real-life examples, participants will better understand the complexities of abuse, learn how to recognize red flags early, and explore local resources and supports available in our community. This presentation encourages awareness, empathy, and action toward creating safer, more supportive environments for everyone."
